Information You Enter
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies those results. Fremont Residents Directory does not keep a copy of the search query on its own servers. A message sent to the contact address contains whatever information the sender chooses to include, and that information is used to answer the request.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for site health and readership trends. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or related tools when those services are enabled.
How the Limited Data Is Used
Technical information helps operate the pages, diagnose faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and the service does not construct individual user profiles from ordinary visits.
External Portals and Tools
Pages link to Alameda County and California portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Once a visitor leaves Fremont Residents Directory, the destination’s privacy policy controls what is submitted and retained. The operator of a sponsored result, rather than this reference, receives the information entered into that tool.
Who May Process It
Hosting and technical service providers may process ordinary server logs so the pages can run. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires disclosure, and otherwise is not shared as a visitor list.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above and for as long as those purposes require. Because the site has no accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or personal account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, a parent or guardian may contact us so the information can be deleted.
California Privacy Choices
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, including rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit certain sensitive-information uses, as provided by Civil Code §1798.100 et seq. Because Fremont Residents Directory keeps little visitor information, a request normally concerns the contact mailbox or technical logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
Public deeds, court files, voter records, permits, and other records held by California, Alameda County, or Fremont offices are outside this service’s control. A request about an official record must go to its custodian, and a deletion request to this site does not erase a government record.
Policy Changes
Changes will appear on this page with the revised policy. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the new terms.
